  1. Incorrect. The forward facing camera in the windshield is 100% responsible for all the forward looking collision mitigation and lane keep assist. It even controls the adaptive cruise on non-Super Cruise models.
  2. Had all the chrome wrapped. Changed the whole look of the truck. Definitely worth the money.
  3. Picked up a 24 LT last week and absolutely love it. It's my 3rd Silverado and by far my favorite. (19 Custom, 21 RST and now this 24) Have already started with the mods and have an appointment to wrap the chrome and get a small lift installed in a couple weeks.
  4. Guys. You're overthinking this. Just run a 2 conductor wire from the mirror, under the headliner and down the RT a pillar into the fuse box. Use a fuse tap and connect to one of the switched fuses. There's a ground point under the RT kick panel. Literally takes 20 minutes.
  5. Same tire/same pressures before an after. Deductive logic would indicate the shocks and their digressive damping would be the culprit. Again. 5100s are NOT the shock to choose if you want a more comfortable ride. They are more stable, and less "floaty", yes. But not more comfortable. That being said, it's a truck. It's not going to ride like an S-class regardless of shock choice.
  6. Agree completely. I wasted SO much money putting the 5100s on all 4 corners of my truck only to take them right back off 2 weeks later. Truck rode like a brick on metal wheels. Honestly...it was like having E-Load tires inflated to within a PSI of their life. If you want a smooth ride, 5100s are NOT for you.
  7. Switched tires out to Goodyear UltraTerrain. Best AT tire I've had.
  8. Sounds like A/T tire noise or wheel bearing to me.

  10. Infotainment has a package that allows the upgrade...with one HUGE caveat: You lose OnStar services, including app support.   11. This is correct. The screen you want to switch to (Trip 1 in my case) needs to be up for a couple of minutes. Then it will default to that screen next time you press right.
  12. Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Hands down. I've had them on my last 3 trucks and cannot rave about them enough. Decently priced, 3PSF rated and track like nobody's business in rain and snow, smooth riding, look good and are relatively quiet. I only notice a little more singing vs the TrailRunners they replaced. You get these, you will NOT be disappointed. The only negative I can mention is in LT trim, they are heavier than their counterparts.
  13. I'm in the in industry and there are two things I can advise: 1.) There was no direct impact to the front end, thus the SRS system didn't see a need to deploy the airbags. 2.) I would be HIGHLY surprised if there were frame damage. Again, there appears to be no direct hit to the frame rail/horn. There IS a good possibility of radiator support damage, however which is on these vehicles is expensive, but fully replaceable with no ill effects. Probably going to be a bit of suspension damage as well, but shouldn't be outrageous.
  14. I picked up a Gentex with Homelink off eBay for like $60 and ran power down the passenger side windshield trim and into a fuse tap. Took all of 20 minutes and works great.

  16. Sounds like you only have the rears done. Which generally don't play *too* much havoc with ride quality. The comments are aimed more towards those who have the front adjustable struts, as well as rears done.
  17. Put em on mine all around and the ride absolutely sucked. Put the Ranchos back on the front with a top spacer and am MUCH happier. Don't make the same mistake I did.
  18. Yeap. Been eyeballing it and gathering data. One thing I *did* find out that kind of deters me, is you loose all OnStar and MyChevrolet app access. Don't use OnStar, but DO use MyChevrolet almost every day.
  19. My 19 Custom was TERRIBLE on bumps. Especially so when cornering and hitting bumps. Bilsteins took care of that. Until the upgrade, I honestly felt unsafe driving my brand new truck. And I'm NOT a dramatic person Everyone complains about the Rancho shocks, but my current 21 RST Z71 feels MUCH more planted then my (stock) Custom did. Maybe things will change with a little more wear, but I haven't once felt unsafe in this truck.
  20. I have the same issue. Have to press the release button twice. Hasn't really bothered me enough to take it in.....Yet.
  21. Whatever's cheapest at the gas station whenever I'm running a quart or two low. KIDDING. I have free oil changes and inspections for life, so I use whatever the dealership puts in.
  22. Same experience here. Broken parts, terrible customer service. Had to dispute through Paypal to get any resolution. The SAD part is, Gator is the in-house brand for Realtruck and actually have decent stuff.
  23. I don't. I think I used a stepper bit and just gradually increased until it fit snuggly. If I had to guess I'd say 1 1/4"
  24. Depends on the gauge. I used 16 gauge, which iirc, matched the wire on the outlet perfectly.
