  1. Done that and still get flashed. What I wished was in the Silverado was in my 2013 Tundra. A knob to adjust the angle of the light in the truck and that was something on a base model Tundra. You'd think with all this advertisement GM did with the new Silverado about towing features that this would be in the truck. I just feel the need to go get a light bar and tie it in with my brights.....
  2. How many other members here get flashed by other drivers because they think your high beams are on? I've driven past other new Silverado's and Sierra's with no issue. In both my truck and Camaro. I have been in front of a newer Silverado in stop and go traffic and with his lights on and at certain angles, parts of the light did look like it was the high beam but you could tell it wasn't. It's like every time I drive past another vehicle, my hand is on the stalk and waiting to flash the other driver back. I've had people do this to me in the Camaro and my ZX10 but it's like every night I drive the truck I have 2 or 3 people angrily flashing me and the get surprised by my actual brights.
  3. I went to my dealer a week ago and they ordered the part. I'll go in tomorrow for them to fix it, for free because it is a TSB for a factory defect. This is why I wish GM had put a manual, pull release like all tail gates have had for situations where you can't get it to electronically unlock.
  4. No. I didn't have any issues with my dealer. Any competent dealer will know how to get this issue to show up. Get a water hose and let the water run on the roof, down to the rear of the truck and wait for it to leak inside. Just keep pushing for them to get it fixed. You can also see the residual water that leaked in on the rear windows too, if you leave it there for the dealer to see where it's leaking in at. As far as it's been said, it's to do with the entire seal that goes in with the glass. And yet you'll still have threads like this pop up but not all of the answers will be found in that 120 page thread.
  5. I went to the dealer to get my tailgate looked at per TSB 20-NA-040 and of course it worked but now my truck is waiting on parts for this seat belt recall that I had no idea about. Funny thing is I had it there a week prior for an oil change and they didn't say anything about this seat belt recall.
  6. Sounds like you could spend your money towards something else other than because you want to go over 99.
  7. Any reason why you'd want to go faster than 99? Just because your tires can?
  8. Look under any GM product and I bet you'll see this same "dent". This was on my 06 GTO and on my 18 ZL1.
  9. Newer vehicles have a lot of electronical components that are used and still are used even when the vehicle is off. Sometimes they do use a lot more power than their supposed to. I've seen this come up on the forum a randomly and not certain what the resolution was other than people recommending to get a battery tender to keep the battery charged (not a trickle charger). Other have taken it to the dealership and they found where the parasitic discharge was coming from. There is a parasitic charge coming from somewhere in your truck. Take it to the dealer and let them figure it out. That's your best bet since it's still under warranty.
  10. Sorry for taking so long but I looked at the sticker for my 2019 LT Z71. It has these packages; All Star Edition, Convenience II, Z71 and protection, trailer brake and 5.3 (since that was optioned). As it was mentioned, this feature is kinda pointless when it shows you the exact same thing the HVAC controls show. It doesn't even have the heated or A/C seats on there. I've only looked at it and played around with it a couple of times. If you really want it and think you're truck should have it, then take it to the dealer and they should be able to reprogram it for you. If you're truck is supposed to have it, then they will do it for free.
  11. As far as I know, all vehicles still have air flowing through the system even if the A/C or heat isn't turned on. This happens in the Silverado and ZL1. And below is what I think is happening to you. The thing that I hate in both of these vehicles is that if I want heat the heat to come on (with the AC button off), I'll turn it to 78....still cold air. Turn it to 80, still cold air.....turn it to 83 and instant hot air and then turn it down to 82, instant cold air. However they make these vehicles go off of what the temp is OUTSIDE the vehicle is stupid. Just let me be able to set it to a certain temp and know that it'll be hot, cold or warm.
  12. I'm not really sure what you're talking about but mine is the same trim as your's. LT Z71. Not certain of the other packages but I have the app and this is a picture I found on the web as I'm not in my truck this week. I don't see why this would be linked to certain vehicle trims. You can find it by looking for the person in a seat on the infotainment. Other than that, you can easily look at the climate controls on the dash in between the temp control. Thats where I always look. I never really use the touch screen for the climate.
  13. I just glance at the buttons to see what's set..... there is also climate app or whatever it's called. Just like how the audio and phone thing is on the infotainment.
  14. Im going to go out on a limb and say this is something that'll need to be programmed out by someone who can access the vehicle's programming.
  15. Well that's a bunch of crap. Glad to know what they do. Wish that those would have been turn signals. Oh well.
  16. I looked at adding turn signal mirrors and found videos from the last gen truck where people would just plug in another truck trims mirrors and it would work. Because the wiring is already there and works with nothing other than plugging it in. Yes I know the fog lamps have to be programmed in, which is stupid but oh well. https://www.gmpartsclub.com/oem-parts/gm-exterior-mirror-covers-84328136?origin=pla&utm_term=&utm_campaign=Catalog+Smart+Shopping&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_acc=1931327731&hsa_cam=9158758542&hsa_grp=87904691250&hsa_ad=414787673482&hsa_src=u&hsa_tgt=pla-293946777986&hsa_kw=&hsa_mt=&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gclid=CjwKCAjw_sn8BRBrEiwAnUGJDs4fQh5ViMQ2QUI2y-VeqvK0HsVD038KteXySXMYquGNM48VcniP9xoCMzIQAvD_BwE Aren't these turn signal mirrors from the Trail Boss? I don't see why they wouldn't plug and play if the wiring is already there. Hasn't that been found to be true for those wanting to add the factory bed camera?
  17. G Force meter could be deleted and something else added. I hardly look at those in my ZL1.
  18. All the vehicles I've ever watched YouTube in with bluetooth has this issue. It's an issue with codec. I don't know why but it seems a lot of manufacturers don't update it. My BMW , Tundra and all the rentals I've had. Plus the ZL1 and the Silverado.
  19. How long do you wait before you put it in reverse? My 8 speed does kind of the same thing when it's cold. But I do let mine warm up for a couple of minutes and it doesn't do it but if I start the truck and put it into gear 20 seconds later, it'll "jump".
  20. You might need to find a place with ethanol in it. Do you get gas from the same place? If so, they may have a bad batch. If you get it from multiple places, then find a couple that have 10% ethanol in the gas.
  21. My 2018 ZL1 has the 10 speed ans these cars are known to have a 3rd to 4th and 4th to 3rd shift issue. All other gears shift smoothly except these 2. GM hasn't really addressed it and we just deal with it. Other than that, it doesn't hang in the rpms, unless you've got it in performance mode, much when driving normal. My 8spd in the Silverado did do the kick into 1st or whatever it's considered when coming to a stop but hasn't done so for a long time now. The 8spd is garbage but I enjoy my 10spd in my ZL1.
  22. Im sure. That's why I said higher level trim. My ZL1 has it standard and I've used it a handful of times but since I wear polarized lenses, I can't see it. Ive used it on the track once and never paid attention to it. Used it on the highway a few times without sunglasses and hardly paid attention to it.
  23. There is a 2" block under the leaf springs so that's all that is needed to take off to make it drop 2". The shocks should be ok but I'm not certain on that. You might need to replace them with something else for a stock height truck. Is this a 1500 or 2500? What's the point of buying an AT4 when if you're just going to lower the rear and have it sit the same height as a Z71/X31? Could have saved a bit of money by not getting it when the Z71/X31 since all you get is a 2" lift. Yea you get all those camera's a HUD but that's stuff you can get in a higher trim, non AT4.
  24. I did. Post #3.
  25. These trucks have soft suspensions. Not firm, which is we what we want. If our trucks were made for towing then we'd have a firmer setup. Yes I know there is a max tow package but even that has a soft setup. GM can say all they want about how much these trucks can tow but they chose the wrong shocks to state this. Even driving off road as much as I do. These shocks are complete garbage. My rear end feels way more planted with the bilstein 5100s on the rear.
