I just sold my 2021 Denali 6.2 for 63K. I put around 3,500 miles since December and originally I paid 59K (original sticker was 69K). First time ever for me a depreciating asset, a vehicle, turned into an appreciating asset.

I just looked at trading into a Denali with the CP bed. There were no back fender well liners and I was told those are not available with this bed. Not sure if true but it didn't look finished without them. That was a negative along with the lack of variety in bed covers.

Wow that sucks. Makes my issues seem minor in comparison. My 6.2L sounds like it has an exhaust leak and evidently it is the fuel system so I'm told and completely normal even though other trucks on their lot don't do this with the same motor. Also my bed looks like Stevie Wonder aligned it. Taken to dealer twice and evidently if there are no trouble codes and it still drives there is nothing they can do. Very disappointing when thinking about how much these trucks cost. Hope you get some resolution.

My 6.2 makes this noise when started first thing in the morning and also under acceleration between 1,000 and 2,000 RPM. Took it to the dealer and of course they say it is normal. I believe it may be the high pressure fuel system. They basically told me if there are no CEL lights and nothing evidently wrong I had to live with it. It drives me insane on an over 60K truck every time I drive it. Add that to the out of alignment bed and I am not happy at all with this purchase.

I agree completely. Also even if something doesn't look and sound right as long as there is no CEL or trouble code then there is nothing they can do.

Yea mine still does this but only under light acceleration. More like a rattle than a tick I guess. It is annoying. My 2019 5.3L didn't do this at all.

I have a rattle sound under light acceleration between 1-1.5K rpm. Not sure if this is like yours. Not my video but sounds just like my truck, a 2021 6.2L (Turn up volume to hear it). It's driving me nuts especially on a new expensive vehicle.

Mine does this too. May be ice accumulating on one of the front sensors. That or road grime.

Does anyone else notice this noise when in 4 cyl or less than 8 cyl mode? Wondering if it is due to the flapper or flappers. Edit: Not my truck, found this on another thread, but sounds just like mine.

Is this the exhaust leak type sound you are hearing?

Unseen issues will continue to exist no matter how thorough an inspection but uneven body panels and out of alignment beds should not. Especially at 60-70K. I don't think that is a lot to ask for with any manufacturer.

Yea I have a rattle in that same area. I tried to locate it by putting pressure on different parts of the dash with no luck. It changes with different temps as some days there is no rattle at all.

Yea regarding up and down mine is really close on the passenger side but off quite a bit on the drivers side as well. When I had the TSB done to correct the left to right, the I noticed the bed is now centered but it is not quite as wide as the cab overall.

Any idea if anything can be done to fix this?

Yea it would be nice to be able to disable it. I would hate to accidentally open it on my closed garage door.

Yea first time. Live and learn. The lifter sound may be normal not sure but I can't believe these leave the factory without at least a visual inspection. I had the bed centered but the service dept didn't think it could be leveled with the body lines of the cab.

I am not impressed at all with my 2021. Bought sight unseen. Bed is not properly aligned (I guess no one even inspects these trucks as they come off the line) and also have engine noise that sounds like an exhaust leak at 1k-1.5k rpm under load.

That sucks. I had a 2019 5.3L 1500 Denali that I recently traded for a 2021 6.2 Denali sight unseen (last time I do that). I wish I would had kept the 2019 as I had no issues with it besides the hard seats and the current used market made it very tempting to trade up. New truck bed not centered and is not level with the cab and exhaust leak sound at 1000-1500 RPM with 1K miles so far. Of course the dealer says it is normal. They always do as long as it still drives down the road. Quality control is not so good. I am already looking around at other vehicles and deciding what is it worth to dump this truck.

Same thought, a waste of time as lawyers make all the money.

I know this is an old thread but my 2021 6.2 has this same exact noise under the same low RPM's under load. WTF how can this still be an issue. The tech that looked at mine said it has something to do with cylinder deactivation and pressure when going from 8-4 cylinders. Disappointing especially when these trucks cost so damn much.

Just got back from the service department and say the noise is normal and it is back pressure from an exhaust valve and something to do with active fuel management. Anyone with experience with this and can confirm if this sounds correct?

Anyone else have a noticeable ticking noise under load at between 1000-1500 RPM? At first I thought it was low octane gas but that doesn't seem to be the case. Only does it at around that RPM. Almost sounds like an exhaust leak.

Yea looks about like mine. Disappointing and the last time I buy a new vehicle sight unseen.
