  1. I sent my ECU to HP tuners they turn it around quickly. I know it's different companies but Diablo has been very good to me in the past and I hope that level is customer service is still there.
  2. This may or may not be your issue but... In today's new vehicles when you push the start button or turn the key the ECU is going through checks and balances to make sure every module is working properly to fire that engine without a problem. It does this by cranking it for a few seconds before it adds fuel. If it takes a little longer to check, your motor will crank a little longer. You should hear my ZL1 sometimes it fires right up, sometimes it cranks for 3-4 seconds and it's never the same. You could be having another issue but this may also be what's happening.
  3. These trucks also come with a "speed sensitive assist" or something like that. It's possible that could be engaging at speeds when it is not supposed to. For what it's worth, I believe the Chevy's have always drove a little different than Fords but I'm assuming that your truck is acting a little more sports car like than truck like.
  4. I tow a trailer that is anywhere from 7-8k depending on what's in it and in the summer I will see my temps creep up a little if I'm really in it for a bit going up hills. I have to be really into it for a bit though for the temps to want to climb, and as soon I'm back to cruising it cools down quickly. Just my experience compared to yours. The fact that you said it cooled down fairly quickly once you were out of the hills leads me to believe the motor was working pretty hard for a bit and then cooled down once cruising again. I'm not sure if you were in tow/haul mode but I the manual says when in this mode it enhances cooling. Not sure how as I've never looked into it, but the manual mentions something about it.
  5. In the past I know Diablo was able to keep their tune "hidden" is that still the case with the new GM trucks or will they be able to see that you have modified the ECM?
  6. This was only city driving in a 2020 TB 6.2L. I just took my trailer back to storage for a few days after some fixing. I also have QTP cutouts on my truck so I opened the exhaust and put it in Tow/Haul and sport while towing. It certainly cuts cylinders. I had about 7,500lb behind me and in tow/haul and sport once I got to speed even at 30 MPH it was cutting cylinders once cruising. I will try this on the highway this weekend too, but at a little over 11 feet I'm sure the drag will keep in 8 Cylinders for most of that trip.
  7. I would definitely invest in a good weight distribution hitch and adjust from there. You may be surprised what a good WD hitch will do for you. Moving the vehicle back a little bit may help as well to relieve some of the tongue weight too if it is tongue heavy.
  8. Mine does this as well about once every 2 months... I put my password for the MyChevy App into it and it goes away. Not sure why it prompts all the time but that stops it for a couple of months.
  9. They are also talking about jamming 620hp vs. 420hp through the same space. As you put more power in the motor 3' will yield more power. If you don't plan to add anymore power in the vehicle both options will be fine for you. Also remember this engine is tuned to take advantage of the new flow as well.
  10. almost 12k on my mine with quite a bit of towing... I have an 8k lb travel trailer and no issues so far. I hope this is one off issue and not a pattern starting.
  11. There is a good chance it's the torque converter unlocking as you come to a stop...
  12. I have one of these covers and mine only lets in water when I go through the auto wash... I think they have it installed wrong.
  13. I have a 6.2L 10 speed and tow a slightly over 11 foot high TT that weights between 7,500 and 8K depending on the trip. When weather permitted I have towed it at 80mph before and I never needed to maintain 3,500 rpm unless I was going up a steep hill. A L5P Dmax would be your best option but if you are staying in the 1/2 ton category you can find your pairing without a worry.
  14. Grumpy Bear about nailed it here. There is lots of good information to make a good decision.
  15. I think I get what you are asking for... How do you calculate the torque multiplication that the gearing and gears will give you. I don't have this answer either but I'd be very interested as I feel the 6.2 is even beefier than what they say as well.
  16. If you have a trickle charger, I'd suggest putting that on overnight to see if the truck acts different. With such short drives it may be trying to handle both the voltage load the truck is asking for and keeping it charged. Leaving with a full battery should let the truck focus on other tasks.
  17. This was two days ago... maybe put your reading glasses on. You obviously follow nothing well, and I get you are trying to stick up for your buddy and that's cool if you want to. I never shared a view that difffers from anyone on this thread which is why I asked you if you can follow a conversation. You obviously cannot and maybe need to hibernate for a few more months before you try this again. Also you decided to come after me when I said nothing to you, so you did need this battle that you lost, and you keep trying to say I did things that I did not. Get your meds checked so you can follow along next time. You have a nice day now too before you get yourself in trouble now old feller.
  18. Here is a question.... Have any of you guys did this with the stock exhaust? If so did you notice any difference? I wouldn't mind doing this to mine this weekend.
  19. Yes, much too tough for me. I concede to your great knowledge and now understand how thoughtful your approach is. However if I have to give you an example of you putting words in my mouth because you don't remember or can't follow the conversation I have nothing for you.
  20. I never said what I liked and didn't like... You just told me what I did though. So how interesting was my idea again?
  21. I can't stand people that think life is only perfect through their eyes.
  22. My Trailboss used to act just like all others described until I switched to Bilsteins. In my opinion I'd change the front and rears (some only change the rear) and as another member said on this string you will think you purchased a better truck! The dampening on the Bilsteins is night and day and I was actually shocked how much tighter the truck feels.
  23. My truck has done this on occasion and my buddy's 2020 HD chevy did as well. As soon as the truck started the brake pedal was perfect with no other issues ever. I know it's fun to say the dealership "says it's normal" and then complain, however this is normal.
