  1. 6.2 is 11.5:1 CR and recommended premium
  2. Some good looking trucks! I actually like the gray WT wheels with an all blck truck. I was thinking about havibg a set widened.
  3. The wheels are factory 18" takeoffs that I had powdercoated. Reclining seats in a RC? lol.
  4. Thanks! Yes and no. Yes that was my original intention and ultimately I'll end up doing it. But for now, my money is going in the suspension and engine. I'll probably replace the grill insert with a factory black one, tho. And to the other post, the Cheyenne concept is the inspiration for my build.
  5. Lol, if that catch can fills up in 500 miles, you'll notice it on the dips stick. ;)
  6. Do you suspect you're truck is getting crappy mileage? Or that your instrumentation is screwed up? Have you measured your mileage the old fashion way? Fill up/zero your trip meter, run to near empty, fill up, divide trip meter mileage by gallons to fill up?
  7. Great job! Got mine installed this weekend, too. Note: Your's is a 6.2L. The hose for the 5.3L runs from the valley to the driver's side of the intake about halfway back.
  8. My question to those concerned about your warranty...if you modify/tune your truck and something breaks as a consequence, do you really expect to get a free ride via warranty? If not and you can't pay out of pocket to fix it, then I think the answer to your concern is self evident.
  9. Same here. I should have mine Tuesday with the clean air separator.
  10. You know that there are gaps on either side of the tailgate, right?
  11. OK, thanks again to inzane. Here's my effort... http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/projects-gallery-189/dark-star-2014-silverado-rcsb-526377/page3/#post5224880 Actually no louder on the intake like when I did this on my 2013. <shrug>
  12. Thanks inzane. Just ordered one myself.
  13. Nice. That looks like just what I'm looking for, lightweight & low profile. Mine's now sitting in the garage waiting for install. ;)
  14. All E85. 80% city driving. I'm happy. http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=64611
  15. I liked the ride with air shocks but they didn't last long. I don't know what happened to them. I've got Vikings installed now and very happy. http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/projects-gallery-189/dark-star-2014-silverado-rcsb-526377/page2/#post5212491 http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/projects-gallery-189/dark-star-2014-silverado-rcsb-526377/page3/#post5215882
  16. Mine was $150 to shorten & balance.
  17. With the kit installed, I was unable to remove the driveshaft with the suspension loaded. Shortened 1.5".
  18. I think that calculation comes from under inflated tire. As you get closer to the recommended pressure you're probably going to see diminishing return on that. And don't forget, you *can* over inflate your tires. Not a good thing.
  19. Oh, here a pic from my 1st place win today at a local car show.

  23. On the front, one of the pins for the eccentric fell out and apparently just all around looseness. So all that was fixed. Put the trans spacer back in. Left the 4* shims in with fat side forward. Alignment, road force balance. I think the shudder I felt in the gas pedal @ ~30mph was due to the front end issues. I think the truck would ride fine with or without the shims. Driveshaft shortening was a must. Now on to forced induction
