    Those assist steps are aluminum so they won't rust atleast. I have the same and that corner will get worse. I am leaving the mud that will accumulate in that corner as a wear stoppage.

    Does the truck have the "optional louvers package"? I believe they open in 4x4. Would be a quick check to see if the louvers are fully closing. Now I'm interested. I wonder if they open in Tow/Haul mode. You could also see if the whistling stops in T/H mode. I cannot imagine the front diff would produce a whistling sound.

    Also, where is this fire starting? I'm not familiar what I'm looking at. Is this the left front shock tower area? While I'm not in no way blaming the OP, this is one of the exact reasons I carry a extinguisher in every vehicle. I don't expect others to fight a fire with a $20 extinguisher, but I know my actions saved a $250k combine with one. Resulting in a $200 repair in the middle of harvest.

    I'm on the fence with this one. Vehicle was still under bumper to bumper. I feel this should fall under warranty? This was a mechanical error, not an accident causing the fire. I honestly don't know how insurances work. I always thought it was for accidents, hail, operator error, glass breakage, etc. Not mechanical issues. Am I to believe now, that my auto insurance is the same as an extended service contract, aka extended warranty? Help an old fart out.

    Well, thinking out of the box. What is the cause.of the mains going out? Trash, cheap bearings, machining, too light of oil? If'n I had the 6 2 tick tick boom engine, I might entertain putting rods and mains in it right away. Be down a week or less and not stranded on the side of the road for a month or more. Used to roll bearings in the frame on OTR trucks for a living just as a mileage precaution. Can't fathom bearing trouble before 50k.

    The last "redesign" is working on my '22 drw. Dealership replaced the pads late '23 around 9k miles. It has 12k on it now and not 1 squeal since. Truck does get warmed up the brakes on the highway and doesn't squeal in town. It lives on country roads, so it's mostly slow speed braking, pulling trailers.

    Switch 2&3 are fused at 20 amp, 1,4 and 5 are fused at 30 amp. You can replace the fuse with a smaller amp rating if wanted.

    The switch supplies a ground for the relays. Depending on which switch relay, they are fused at 20amp and 30 amp.

    Be interesting to see if the shutters are closing, not allowing enough air flow thru cooling stack and it's kicking out on high pressure.

    I don't know why gm had to make this hard and complicated. Why not have the camera display just the image of the trailer camera, where ever it might be? Don't see a real reason to have it integrated with the tailgate camera.

    Seeing that tractor in the background, your truck won't be a pavement pounder, I'd go with the Gatorbacks. Nothing is going to cure that soft, fresh, water-based paint.
