I took Riley for swim this morning. It has been a while, I think he was starting to dry out. LOL

The oil pump stopped working and in less than 2 miles from when my oil light came on and I limped it home it started knocking bad and smoking. I took it to a shop that only works in Subarus and they said the turbo may have been saved because I never went into boost but the engine was toast and needed a full rebuild. They quoted me $4000 to fix but they were 16 weeks out from being able to work on it. They do one rebuild a week and had 15 ahead of me. I guess turbo Subarus have a bad habit of blowing after about 120k miles sometimes sooner. I spoke to another shop who could have rebuilt it right away by they quoted me $8000 and the dealership quoted $10000. The original shop offered me $4000 for the car as is. So I took it. It was only worth about $8k even with the rebuilt engine so i said screw it and I sold it to them. I really like my new car and I got a great deal on a much nicer, faster and lower mileage vehicle that should last me a while.

Well I finally completed my Morimoto Retrofit project. What a pain in the butt. I ran into a ton of problems, mostly having to do with the crappy ebay headlights. I also had issues getting them adjusted, but I think I finally got it taken care of. Im loving the light output Lows: Highs:

Probably true. Maybe they will offer it 1/2 way through the year. Im not 100% sure buy i think i remember that when they rolled out the 6 speed is was available in the Yukon Denali and Escalade in 09 and then 1/2 way through 09 in the 1/2 tons and Tahoe/Suburbans

Thank You I just removed it using a heat gun, fishing line, and a plastic scraper, plus 3M adhesive remover, 3M adhesive Remover Wheel, a 3 Step polishing systems, and lots and lots of patients. No there was no difference in paint shades. But I did run into a couple other problems. When I removed the passenger side first, I noticed some bubbling paint. My paint guy said that it looks like that door was repainted and it was done poorly. Then I went back and forth whether or not I was going to do the other side, or put the molding back on. I decided to remove the other side and when I did I noticed a nice dent in the side, and I somehow scratched my paint taking the molding off of the rear driver side door. IDK how I did it, I have de-badged/de-molded a bunch of vehicles and never had a problem. Thats why Im thinking about doing the rhino lining on the bottom. If you are interested in doing it there are tons of videos and walkthroughs online that will help you out. Just be very careful.

Well almost every time I fill up with gas my check engine light come on. We dont pump our own gas in Oregon and the idiots never tighten the cap all the way. The check engine light come on, i tighten the gas cap, and it usually goes away in a few miles. But since yours is tight you may want to get it checked out, seems like you may have a larger issue. You may have to get a new gas cap
