  1. I just started getting the same 2 fault codes in my 2017 Silverado 6.2 8 speed. Wonder if mine will be covered under this tsb? Even though it says it's only for 2016s I took delivery of my truck August 1st of 2016.
  2. This is the kit I used to keep the dust out of my bed during hunting season. https://www.accesscover.com/access-total-bed-seal/ It works pretty good. The tailgate seal alone didn't keep the dust out. The foam blocks in this kit helped a ton. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  3. So I eneded up getting it wrapped again. Got inspiration from a Google search pic that I included in this post. Pretty sure the owner is a member of the forum. Went wider with the stripes and to the edge of the hood. I think it turned out great. I also had the hood ceramic coated so they say it should last up to 4-5 yrs now. 4. Took the wrap off my hood because it started to deteriorate. Lasted about 2.5 yrs in the Texas Sun. I'm not a fan of the all white. It doesn't show off the curves of the hood very well.... Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  5. I had an opposite effect when I adding a leaf to my 7 inch lift to get some rake back. Made it seem stiffer. Just taller blocks rode better. The extra leaf was cheaper than blocks. I could see the install costing more though because its a pain to do. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  6. Its going to be sad when the battery dies. I use it almost daily. Dealer said batteries can't be replaced. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  7. I think it only works for 17 and up. I could be wrong though. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  8. I'm happy with the light output of the single row. It throws light further than my high beams. I have it on the same switch as my a-pillar lights so when they're all on at the same time there is a lot of light. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  9. Hasn't moved. Works exactly the same as the day I put it on. I was worried about the the sun beating down on it, but it hasn't caused any issues. I think it's been on there since September of 2016. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  10. I went with the GM switch that has the offroad switch with it. Used it with the harness from pgamboa. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  11. No problems at all. Shutters open and close without any issues. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  12. Double check your wiring. Same thing happened to me. I emailed rigid and they sent me an rma # to send them back in. When I went to take them out I double checked my wiring. I must have forgotten how lazy I was when I installed them because I used butt connectors and was going to soder later. Turns out that one of my grounds was bad. Rewired everything with soder and heat shrink. They work great again. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  13. I the wiring is easy, just time consuming. If you're going to use the oem offroad light switch then you'll need this harness from pgamboa https://harnessdr.com/product/off-road-light-headlight-switch-bcm-harness/ and the switch itself. Follow this YouTube video and it will explain the entire process. I used this harness off Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076C5HV59/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_FQQuEb0DCKXNY It comes with a pigtail that you can soder onto the lightbar wires so you'll have a watertight connection. You will notice that in the video above his trigger wire for the relay is blue. On this harness it's not blue. I'll double check mine later to confirm what color the trigger wire is. That's pretty much it. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks! It was your idea lol Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  15. I have mine wired up to the oem switch for aux lights. The light doesn't come with a wiring harness so you need to get one so its properly wired to a relay. I copied how TXGREEK mounted the same light except his is on a gmc. There is a plastic shroud that comes off when you remove the grill. Its mounted directly to the shroud. Just getting it lined up was the easy part. Finding the correct height took a little time. I'd say it took about 2 hrs but I already had my switch installed. Here's TXGREEKs pic of mounting it to the shroud. I didn't take any pics of it, but it's the same for the Silverado. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  16. I got tired of waiting on Rough Country. I don't even think they're going to come out with a kit for trucks with active shutters. I ended up installing the same lightbar that another member put on his gmc. It fits with the active shutters, puts out a lot of light, and isn't even noticable behind the grill. I did have to drill a couple of holes in the mounting bracket that came with the bar to lower it some, but that was it. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  17. I thought about putting mine there, but if I remember correctly it wouldn't sit flat with enough room for the door to shut. I'd try a different dealer. 3 hrs is BS. Mine didn't even charge me. I talked to the service manager and he said they would do it since I bought the truck from them. It literally took them 10 mins. They had to make 1 phone call to get it the serial # on the keypad authorized. Then they plugged into the obd2 port and programmed it in. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  18. Is it one of these? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  19. They say they have a lifetime warranty. I ordered directly from Kryptonite so they shouldn't question it. It's been a year so far and no slop in the ball joints. The cognito ones failed within 6 months. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  20. Readylift 7 inch. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  21. I have Cognito UCAs and the ball joints wore out. I ended up replacing them with a set of Kryptonite ball joints. I haven't had any issues with them and they have a lifetime warranty. Kryptonite didn't have UCAs for 1500s when I got my Cognitos. If they did I would have gone with them. Its nice to see them offer more for the 1500s. I'll probably end up getting a set of their tie rod ends. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  22. I took the grill off. The grill has a plastic shroud that goes around it. It comes out with the grill when you take the grill off. I mounted it directly to the bottom of that shroud. I didn't take any pics but TXGREEK has pics of it in his original post. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  23. Got it off Amazon. It doesn't come with a wiring harness, but I got one off Amazon also. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks man. I got the bar on Amazon. I forgot to add that the lightbar doesn't come with a wiring harness or switch. I just ordered a harness off Amazon also. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  25. Finished installing my lightbar today. Same 31" bar that TXGREEK installed on a gmc. I installed it with the mounts that came with it, but the bar ened up being a little too high. I just drilled 2 new holes and now it sits perfectly. Unless you're looking for it, you can barely see the bar behind the grill. It also clears the active shutters perfectly. Looking forward to testing it out tonight. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
