  1. This may not help, but may be worth a try. Sometimes electrical problems can be related to loose fuse box screws as described in PIT5756. See document below. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10178357-9999.pdf

  4. Yes, if you keep it in L9, the truck will shift through gears 1-9 and not go into DFM. So V8 mode all the time. Another option is to purchase the Pulsar LT from Range Technology for $449.95 and deactivate DFM using this device. Then you can keep it in D mode, and DFM will not be activated. Link for Pulsar LT below. https://www.rangetechnology.com/products/pulsar_lt/parts/22451
  5. Run it in manual mode (L9 on the column shifter), and that will keep it in V8 mode. No DFM.
  6. At least if you do it yourself, you know the quality and materials that went into the job. And that might make it worthwhile. Just wish I had a lift so I could rotate the tires at the same time.
  7. Found this today on how to temporarily lock open the flapper. Photos included. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/MC-10137883-9999.pdf

  13. Thank you for the photo. What gauge wire did you use?
  14. How did you clamp the flapper valve open?
  15. How did you pin the flapper valve open? Thanks.
  16. How did you wire the valve open?
  17. Do you have a link to the thread that shows how to lock the valve open? Thanks.
  18. How does one delete or get rid of the flapper?
  19. Ordered my Sierra Denali last week with the 6.2. I’ll have to check after it arrives in March. Thanks for the explanation.
  20. I like the chrome look, that’s why I ordered a 2021 Satin Steel Metallic Denali. Delivery in March 2021.
  21. So, has anyone changed out their knobs for something different? Photos?
  22. Glad to hear you are physically okay (mostly). I feel your pain about having such a new vehicle damaged and almost totaled. I feel the same about my vehicles, just never the same after a major accident. But these material things are eventually replaced, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. Your body on the other hand is going to be with you until the end. I would note every ache and pain and have it checked out thoroughly. I’d hire a lawyer to address every potential problem, such as future anticipated medical care, pain and suffering, lost wages, etc. And also diminished value of the vehicle.
