Torque Converter

Hey i have a ecsb 2wd sierra 5.3 w/4l60e trans that i use for town and general fun and have read that higher stall would be beneficial in improving quarter mile time. I dont totally understand it all yet but what would be a good stall speed for my truck or a good brand of torque converter for that matter. Trailblazer one? I do some towing but not a lot maybe 4-5 times a month during the summer with the boat. Mild hopups done to the truck..cai,exhaust etc..also are rebuilt converters any good?

A stall will help 1/4 times in a big way, but yeah...THey'll kill your towing.

You can haul a jon boat or something light, but not much more.

I've read from several guys who have installed the TB stalls with great success. Didn't hurt them towing.

Then they probably weren't towing anything all that heavy, and a Trailblazer stall isn't all that high anyway.

TCI makes a towing converter thats what they call it. anyway they are suppose to be great for perormance in trucks thus getting more power to the ground.
