hey, just have a question for you guys, my friend lost the transmission in his 2004 chevy half ton 4x4 4.3 liter and we are having problems finding a transmission, will a transmission from a 5.3 fit or one from a jimmy 4.3 ?????

The one from the truck with a 5.3 will work I believe with a re-flash to the computer. The one from the Jimmy can work but the sunshell needs to be changed. That's about the most I can provide for info here. Should be more who read this that know how to go about a trans swap.
