Remote Start On A 06 Suburban

I bought my wife a 2006 Suburban.. It has a 5.3L and keyless entry.

I was thinking about getting her a remote start like we had on the van.

However, with the unit the van had, we had to carry two remotes.. One for the locks, and one for the start.

Years ago I had an astrostart on my 99 lumina and never had a problem.

What is the newest that would let us only have one key fob?

Viper I had one in 2 vehicles for more than 8 years without issue.

viper is the best you could prob. go with, but you can get any aftermarket remote start/alarm to work on one key fob for locks and starting.

I have the Viper 5901 and really like it.

do a search, I recently made a thread about it with some more good info, I bought a Viper also, the 5101 is the model I bought, it is the 1-way version, and with the 2 way, there's led's that light up on the fob, to let you know that the vehicle has started

I bought mine at Best Buy, I plan to have it installed this weekend to try to beat the rush after the holidays

I still havent done anything yet due to timing but I believe tomorrow I will get one set up..

I think I am going to try the viper unit after reading your thread it makes sence.
