Gmt900 Lower Shock/strut Bolt Specs?

Can anyone clue me into the thread pitch of the lower strut bolts? I am fairly sure they are a 10.9 grade 10mm bolt. What thread pitch are they? I want to buy replacement bolts that are half an inch longer but still use the factory clips (nuts). Does anyone have some left over from after a leveling kit install that can measure the length of the threaded area? The closest I can guess with mine installed is about 2.5" or 2.75" of thread.

 

I have a Top Gun Customz leveling kit that uses two 1/4 inch lower strut spacers on each side. It is supposed to reuse the factory hardware but the bolts are either going to have just enough thread or be one revolution too short. It looks like the factory clips (nuts) will be relying on the very last sections of tapered threads. Once the spacers are installed there will only be the smooth 1/4" ends of the bolts visible and that is a little too close for comfort for me.

 

For you guys that are running a leveling kit what type of lock nuts and washers did you use? Regular nylon ring lock nuts or a crush fit design?

 

 

Edit: I'd have to assume the OEM thread pitch is either 1.0, 1.25, 1.3, or 1.5 but probably the 1.5

I just to replaced all of the lower strut bolts on my truck after my leveling kit install. My kit actually goes on the top of the shock but I broke one of the lower bolts when I put the truck back together so I replaced them all right away. If you would have caught me like a week ago I could have sent you one of the old ones.

 

Anyway, you may be able to get this information from your friendly local GM Dealer Parts counter? Or, you can order a replacement set I think they were $3 (alot for a bolt but a little for a piece of mind).
