Z60 High Performance Suspension Package 2007 Silverado

Hi,

Does a Z60 High performance suspension package on a 2007 silverado mean that the truck will have an harsher ride and less ground clearance than normal?

Ground clearance is the same.

 

My Sierra Denali with Z60 is less harsh than any of our cars with "sport" suspension. It is more harsh than a Z71. I am comfortable driving our preschooler and baby around in it.

 

I suggest you test drive a Z60 and a Z85 back to back for comparison.

Mine is a 2009 with the Z60 and no it's not lower. In fact I have 2010 Z71 4x4 that parks next to me all the time at work that 17 inch wheels, my truck has the stock GM 20's. I sit a little lower than the 4x4 but not much. It surprised me to see it.

 

As for driving, it rides very nice. Long trips...running through 2 tanks of gas back to back leave me feeling pretty well and not beat up by a truck suspension. It honestly seems to ride better than some cars I have owned.

 

It handles well for a truck, it aint no sports car but for a truck it does real good.

 

Towing....it also tows very very well. I tow a car hauler with it and the ride is still very nice and the ass end is not falling down from the trailer and car wieght. If your looking for this suspension on a truck I say go for it.
