2004 Silverado Crew Cab Power Window, Mirrors And Locks On Driver Door

I wonder if anyone can help me? I just purchased a 2004 Silverado none of the controls in the master switch on the drivers door work. The previous owner said he bought a used switch put it in and it still didnt work. He said he took the truck to the gm dealer they charged him 150 and said they tried to reflash it and it still didnt work. he said they told him the switch was no good either? does this make any sense? I am not sure what my next move should be? buy a new switch or is there some other problem. The switches and windows work on all the other doors. thanx in advance for your help!
