Sierra 1500 Vs. Sierra Denali Gvwr

I recently noticed that the Sierra 1500 has a higher max payload and higher tow rating than the Sierra Denali. It looks like the 1500 rating is when equipped with the 6.2L towing pkg. The Denali comes with the same 4 wheel discs, 6.2L so is the suspension different or is it the 3.42 vs the 3.73 rear gear the difference? The max payload is different by over 300 lbs and the tow rating is more by 1500lbs. Just curious why such a big difference.

Part of the towing difference comes from the denali having AWD. It is not as good for towing. The difference in rear end will make a difference in hauling and towing as well.
