Finaly Got My New Engine!

So after my old 5.3l engine has went out because the oil pump went bad all a sudden. -_- i had to look for a new engine. I found one for $550 with one yr parts and labor waranty! its great... it came out of a 2000 model sivlerado and has 120k miles on it. So far after driving it, It seems to have a little more power then my last! was there a power differance in the 99-00 models?

checked Kbb.com and noticed.... 00 models have 15 more hp and 10 more torque!!! so i came out ahead! lol but i coulda used the 1k and probably came out wiht more then 15 hp -_-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh well...

  And there aren't any "bellows". There are solid plastic doors the actuators move, which largely seal just by themselves, and then have a strip of foam around the edge to better seal the door. The foam does deteriorate over time, but this is unlikely to be a significant cause of the problem.

  are the heater controls set for hot or cold air? If it's set for hot, and say, to get air from outside the cab (vs recirculated air), even w the fan off, air will get pushed through the hvac system, over the heater core and into the cab. Switching it to cold will reduce the temp to whatever it is outside. Switching to recirculate mode (which may mean switching to vents or whatever, read your owners manual), will reduce the amount of airflow through the hvac system.
