Who Has Bought Recently?

I've been soaking up info around here for awhile, but this is my first post. I am looking to buy a new '10 Sierra Xtd Cab 4wd, and I haven't found much chatter about recent pricing. The first offer made to me was about $700 over invoice. I assumed I could get the truck for under invoice but didn't want to haggle before they had a chance to appraise my trade.

Also, any guesses on how much longer the $1k Toyota owners' voucher will last? The build sheet shown to me showed code UQ3, uplevel stereo with 8 speakers. Are there really 8 speakers? I only saw 6, including tweeters.

Thanks alot.

I just picked up a pro sport sle 4x4 ext cab 1500 5.3l v8 and I got a pretty good deal.

Z71 HD towing package locking differential, audio controls on leather wrapped steering wheel, rear power sliding window and many other options I can't think of off the top of my head.

Anyways, msrp was $38744 they gave me rebates of around $5000. After very little negotiating I got it for $30000. And that does not include the trade in. I feel I got a great deal. I went on the last dy of the month and they needed to sell some trucks I guess. I have pictures of it on here if you search for them.

Thanks, Mike. I saw your post and was hoping you'd chime in -- very nice truck. I, too, qualify for about $5k in rebates, so your price of $8.7k off of sticker is about what I am going to shoot for. Great deal, congrats, and thanks again!

There was a GM incentive of $4,750, plus I negotiated a pair of GM 6-inch Oval Nerf

Bars ($675 or so), plus another $3,000 off.

So, I paid MSRP, less $7,750 and got a pair of the much-coveted 6-inch nerf bars ($675) free. If you calculate the nerf bars into the deal, I basically got $8,425 off MSRP.

Just for my own peace of mind, I always pay strictly cash for anything I buy, so i wrote the check, got my truck and went home. Happy.

Maybe not the most swinging deal in the world, but I was delighted. And I got the truck of my dreams.

After driving this baby for the last three weeks, the love affair is still going strong.

Last month I bought a 2010 Yukon XL 2500 4x4 SLT2 with pretty much every option.

MSRP $59,090

Invoice $54,631

Purchase price $54,131

Rebate $2,000

Final price $52,131 (plus tax and license)

I ordered the vehicle and told them I'd pay $500 under invoice since they were getting about $1,700 in holdback money.

So even at $500 under invoice they still made $1,200 on the deal.

I did decide (after much deliberation) to get the GM top of the line extended warranty (7 year / 84,000 miles). I got it for $100 above cost (~$1,600).

I've always ordered my cars, always paid $500 under cost and always pay cash.

I like my car deals short and simple!

Not sure how long the $1K Toyota Conquest rebate lasts but I did get it last Friday along with the $5k and the $1K CMAC buyers assistant. Nice getting $7K in rebates and Supplier pricing.
