Newb here hoping some of you veterans might be able to help.

 

2007 Silverado LT2 crewcab 4wd 5.3L, I seem to have some engine noise within the speaker system. Stock radio not the Bose. This noise happens usually with the Radio off and at an idle. With the key off engine not running when I hit the door locks it echos throughout my speaker system. Kind of cool sounding but a little annoying. It is a real tin sound. It also does it when switching from park to gear. Any thoughts of where to look for a bad ground.

which wire harness did you purchase? I have run into this problem on a couple GM models, and usually the interface box is what was the problem. It was a POS Scosche brand.
