Well, I have the new Infinity Kappa's installed in the front doors of my '02 Ext. Cab, and Infinity Reference Plate speakers installed in the back doors.  I have the Rockford Fosgate 300X amp installed under the back seat.

Working slowly and carefully, along with several trips to get connectors and other last minute equipment, it took about 4 days!  That's longer than it probably should have, but I was in no hurry and didn't want to screw anything up.

The results are impressive.  The sound is so much clearer and sharper.  There are layers to the music I listen too that I've never heard before.  On one track, it sounded like my head unit was screwing up as I heard these strange noises I hadn't heard before.  It turns out the noises were part of the song that were never clear enough to hear before on the stock system (strange song).

Anyway, I'm happy and satisfied with the new system.  I may have to remount the crossovers at some point as I'm not sure they will like where I put them.  And, the front speakers don't sound as impressive as the back speakers, so I'm not sure what that's about.

But, a grateful THANK YOU to all you guys who helped out with my questions.  Your answers were always quick and helpful.  Thanks again.

Yes, I kept the factory head unit.  I will be installing steering wheel controls soon and needed the stock head unit to do that.  I didn't want to mess with the aftermarket infrared based steering wheel audio controls.

This stereo stuff is infectious.  I just finished and I'm already thinking about subwoofers!
