A/c Problem

My 2004 at times, not all the time blows normal cold air out the right hand side of the vehicle and blows really hot air out the left hand side. Makes no difference if controls on auto or select driver versus passenger side. I am at a loss. If shut off and re-start the vehicle it comes back to normal. Driving along today it just suddenly changed from operating normally to blowing hot air out the left side. Searching for answers on this I find 100's of the same questions (hot on one side vs. cold on the other) but no answers. Surely there is a TSB or something on this.

it has to diag'd with a scanner ,there should be a code stored, please dont guess and throw parts at it,it could be the actuator or the control head .

Scan shows no code... replaced the actuator and did the "fuse pull" manual reset. Still doing it....is the consensus now that its the control head?

Not just any scanner will pick up "all" the codes from various systems on the vehicle

My buddy has a nice SNAP-ON one don't know the model .... but thats the one we used. it would not reset the code.. said it needed to be a Tech-2 or something like that == only the dealers have those. I've read other reports of this with talk of there being a TSB for it.
