2 Earnhardts in the Top 10 tonight

Jr. got the pole and Kerry qualified 9th.  Let's hope they can both finish in the top ten.

 

 

Earnhardt Jr. has pole at Richmond

RICHMOND, Virginia (Ticker) - Dale Earnhardt Jr. has the pole for Friday night's NASCAR Busch Grand National series Funai 250.

 

Making his third Busch series start of the season, Earnhardt Jr. rounded the 3/4-mile Richmond International Speedway Thursday at 126.868 miles per hour, some two-tenths of a second faster than the previous record set by Matt Kenseth in May 2001.

 

Series points-leader Greg Biffle will start alongside Earnhardt after posting a qualifying speed of 126.399 mph in his Ford. Biffle will start from the first row for the third time in four weeks.

 

Jason Keller, who is second to Biffle in the standings, will start fifth in his Ford. Kevin Lepage's Chevrolet and the Ford of Jeff Burton recorded the third- and fourth-fastest laps and will start in the second row.

 

Jeff Green, last year's pole winner in this event, was sixth, followed by Casey Mears, Stacy Compton, Kerry Earnhardt and Shane Hmiel.

 

The qualifying session was postponed for a time after Hmiel dropped fluid on the track. With the track soaked, Scott Riggs nearly wrecked during his run but managed to qualify 19th.

Nice Blazer by the way Elwood. I was the pass. during a roll over in one that looked exactly like that.

Jr walked the dog on em in that race.    However Kerry got spun yet again in a race, and it wasn't his fault as usual. They need to take the magnets outta the cars that keep getting into him.

 

But waaaay to go Jr!!! and he again had the fastest car in the cup race at the end. Went from a lap down in 23rd to 4th, all under green flag!!
