Well, the one year anniversary of "The Day that forever changed America" is here.

What are you guys going to do?

I'll be working just like any other day, but I will keep the victims and heros of that day in my thoughts.

I say we take about 50 Cajuns over there and tell them that Bin Laden is a cross between an aligator and a crawfish and see how long it takes them to find him and skin him.. :(

Seriously......I will never forget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NEVER :flag:

I second that.   :flag:

I have to work too, but will have victims in my thoughts.  Not that any other day isn't tough for their family's, but I'm sure 9/11/02 will be especially tough.  I'll watch what I can during breaks and after work.

Im off work, they decided to be closed the 11th in observance of last years events.

Shotgun,

Thats good, but check this out:

This is the latest proposal to drive the Taliban and Al Qaeda out of the Mountains of Afghanistan is to send in the GSF (Georgia Special Forces.)

Billy Bob, Bubba, Bo, Scooter, Cooter and Junior are being sent in with the following information about the Taliban:

1. There is no limit.

2. The season opened last weekend.

3. They taste just like chicken.

4. They hate beer, pickup trucks, country music, and Jesus.

5. Some are queer.

6. They don't like barbecue.

7. They were responsible for Dale Earnhardt's death.

-We estimate it should be over in just about a week.

I'm going to not watch TV or listen to radio.  I've heard as much as I want to hear from the widows of that day.  There are many widows from men who die in combat also.  Reality bites, it really does.  Since I have no schoo that day I will try to lose myself in work.  And move on, which it seems our country (least the media) is having a hard time doing.

Going to work and not being paranoid of another attack.  Just trying to resume life as usual.  I don't want to watch too much on the tube as the stories are all so heartbreaking....

I agree, it is heartbreaking. But since I work in television it will be hard for me to avoid since it will be in my face all day. As well as National coverage we will be covering a local tribute at noon. Last year we had over a week of 24 hour coverage. Even in the TV/News business where you become sort of "numb" all the sadness was overwhelming.

Even though I'm readdy to "move on" I'll never forget what those a$$holes did. :(  :flag:

I'll take a few moments of silence and think about the events as I do every day.

I will also avoid the ratings war on TV

I have to work.  We will have a moment of silence at work.

I will be giving blood at the local Red Cross after work.  I know it won't help the victims of 9-11, but it is all I can think to do to commemorate.
