02silviaz71 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Hi guys, I have been debating this for months but cant seem to find any pictures of 99-02 silverado's with the new 18" z71 rims. If anyone has pictures of this year truck and rims could you please post. I want to make a decision before I buy 285/75/16 revos for my factory aluminum rims and get rid of the stock tires ( truck has 33K miles). My idea was the 18" rims with 285/65/18 and a little t bar crank. Thanks for any input P.S. Mines an 02 1500 Z71 extended cab short bed
oldscsc Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Crappy pic but I don't have a better one as of yet.
02silviaz71 Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 thanks, ya I did see your write up on another thread. You had to remove some kind of retainers on the rear lugs?
oldscsc Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Yeah it's very simple, they just pull right off.
02silviaz71 Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 Is there anyone else that has done this to their truck?
02silviaz71 Posted October 5, 2010 Author Posted October 5, 2010 So I just bought a set of 07 18" rims just waiting for them to be shipped. Is the offset of the new rims any different from my old ones? Do you think I can run 285/65/18?
