Faded Interior

So i used a cheap towel let that faded my black interior, i scrubbed with warm water to try and remove it and it made it worse...

 

what can i do to get the color back?

sorry plastic the glove compartment cover on the dash (upper) to be exact

If it actually removed some of the color theres not much you can do unless you try to paint or dye it. Try using some Armor All or something similar see if that helps.

I'm confused. What did you do? Were you cleaning with a hand towel, or did you leave it up there for awhile? Just trying to figure it out so I don't do it. I keep a Bible up on the dash, wonder if that will mess it up?

i was cleaning with a no name auto towelette and when i tired i noticed it faded my glove compartment so i instantly used warm water on a microfiber cloth to try and wash the residue off thinking it was dried up soap residue and it made it worse.
