Parking Brake Pedal Module

I had the joy of changing the parking brake module on Monday. I got in the truck and pulled the release handle and nothing. The main cable had broken in the mechanism and one of the levers in the pedal assy actually broke in half. $60 and about 45 minutes later the parking brake is working great. Nice and smooth.

I had the same thing happen in my 01 Sierra. I was lazy and didn't replace it at first but I had a habit of using the parking brake. So every time I got back in the truck I was fishing under the dash to manually release. One day I got fed up with it and replaced it, easy fix.
