2007 Sierra Hood Latching Issues

My hood on my 07 sierra is closing but there is about an 1/8 of an inch or so at the latch when fully closed. Both the striker and the latch seem to have zero signs of damage or wear. Is there any adjustments i can make to stop the hood from looking like its about to open when im driving? I bought this truck used and just picked it up monday night....any help or thoughts would be appreciated!

Mine bounces up and down sometimes when I'm driving down the road much like you are talking about. There are two "bump stops" under the hood that can be adjusted to make the hood stop bouncing (one on either side that look like a big rubber bolt). I tried that on my truck, but it made the hood not line up with the top of the fender correctly. I believe there are adjustments you could make with the actual latch to move it up or down, but I have not tried that yet.

If i Raise the stops yes the hood will be out of line but it does not look like the latch can be adjusted as there is a metal pin there to line it up from the factory.
