pulled the wiper arm back to change blade and broke the clip that holds the spring...is there a quick fix. tried to remove arm assembly,,,,no luck,,,,is there a trick to this? thanks in advance!

To remove the arm, take off the nut that holds it to the shaft. Lift the arm up to releive presure on the shaft and then pull. They should come off no problem. When I repainted mine, they were no problem.

i broke the spring so there is really no pressure...i removed the not and tried to pry it off but wouldnt move...rusted on maybe?

Try wiggling the base of the arm off the shaft or some penetrant, it should come off.

 

 

thanks alot i will.....i tried putting the spring back on but the clip it hangs onto looks like it was welded to the arm and broke off. i guess i need to replace the whole arm now
