4 Wheel Drive Not Working

I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup, with the 5.3 liter with auto tranny. I just had the transmission and rear end rebuilt and now the four wheel drive doesn't work. Everything is hooked up correctly. When I but it into 4hi or 4lo or 4auto the light just blinks and it doesn’t engage into 4 wheel drive. Any ideas?
