03 2500 Hd Transfer Case Installation

I have a 2003 silverado 2500 hd that I put a rebuilt transfer case in. It seems like its not getting oil to the tail shaft. While driving the tail shaft gets really hot around the rear bushing and drive shaft yoke. The transfer case is full of oil. When you install it is there a way to prime the oil pump? I have a repair manual but it gives a poor description on installation.

not that im aware of, and i would think driving it around it would prime itself.. define "really hot" obviously its goin to get pretty warm its a rotating mass
