2004 Gmc Sierra 2500hd 6.6l Duramax

Forgive me if I am going about this the wrong way, I am totally new to all this.

 

The air in not moving inside the cabin off the HVAC vents the way I think it should. I have been told to check the cabin air filter, which I can not find inside the glove box and under the dash. I can not even confirm that this year and model have such a filter. Any help would be appreciated.

 

 

Also is there a place to decipher the equipment codes for the build from the sticker in the glove box? This truck is new to me and I am trying to get it working to suit me. Knowing what was built in exactly would be a great help.

I have a 2003 Hd with the 6.6l and I was looking for the same filter. I have signed up with all data and this is what I found out this is copy and pasted right from the website under the cabin filter. If you want to know the Codes for your Truck alldata has them through out. It has been a big help for me in the last few months and not the pricey for the info you have at the touch of your fingers. Hope this helped

Condition/Concern:

A customer may inquire about the availability of the passenger compartment air filter.

 

Recommendation/Instructions:

Starting in 2003 model year, the passenger compartment air filter is no longer available as a factory option. With the redesigned HVAC case, there is no longer a cavity for the filter. The GM parts catalog indicates there is a replacement filter available; however, there is no provision for it.
