Whats The Differance

i was just looking around random places and came a crossed this lift its nothing big just says it lifts your truck two inches and shows torsion keys four shocks blocks and the u bolts. ive heard that lifting the torsion keys up with out getting all of that will lift it two inches so does this mean that this lifts it two more inches front and back and still be level. only reason i ask is cause there are blocks sold with it and thought maybe it would lift it two more inches cause why buy that when its only going to keep your front same height as factory keys and then put the blocks in the back and have it sit unlevel. is there something im not understanding

the site is http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/R...ntry-2-Lift-Kit

if that helps

that is what it says it is! a 2" lift kit.. it is like a leveling kit (torsion keys) + a 2" rear lift.... meaning you'll raise the front to be leveled with the rear... and then the rear will raise 2" giving the same look it has right now just 2" higher....

installing a torsion key leveling kit wont harm your truck as long as you don't crank your torsion bars... what the torsion keys does is relocating your torsion bar... so what used to be the top level (stiff as hell) now is the lower level so its soft as it was before cranking the torsion bars but giving you the height it would have cranking the bars with the original keys... so it will give you the same height as cranking the torsion bars but without suffering with stiffness... but! if you put torsion keys and then crank them expecting to get more lift you will mess up everything! trust me! torsion keys are a good way to clear 33's without spending too much money as long as you're aware that you wont get any more lift than cranking the bars! just better ride quality... i had a torsion keys leveling kit in a 01 f150 cc 4x4... cleared 33's w/stock wheels with no problem! didn't affect anything in my suspension and had great ride quality...

If you just want to level out your truck dont worry about the keys just crank the torsion bars.. I liked when i cranked the bars on my old truck it got rid of the "sway" that the trucks have.
