Sorry but this particular nuance did not fit other responses. Has anyone experienced 'tighten gas cap' message on the DIC but when you clear the code and fill up the tank, it is ok until you get a bit above 1/2 tank and then we repeat the cycle? This is the second time I got the message on DIC and when I fill tank, it goes away without a code or DIC message again.

Is there a line or vent or something that gets exposed/uncovered when the tank is down 10-12 gallons?

Perplexed!!

More info, 2006 GMC CC with 4.8l, anyone please through out a comment.
