weld super single II's hub-centric?

Do you know?  I thought they were.  The guy at discount tire today said they were not.  He further explained, "there are no hub-centric wheels for 8-lugs today, no one makes them yet."

 

Maybe I have bad information.  I thought hub-centric wheels transferred the force to the hub rather than the bolts and lugs, thus being a requirement for heavy payload.  But then I have ready many many posts of folks with aftermarket forged wheels being over their GVWR.

 

Do I have bad info?  Is hub-centric required?  Is forged 3200# lug-centric enough?  Did the guy at discount know what he was talking about?  Are Weld wheels hub-centric?

 

My '03 Silverado 2500HD 8.1/Allison LT Crew Cab arrives next week!  This forum has been an amazing resrouce for me.  I hope to return what I've learned someday...
