Sealing Pace Edwards Bed Cover

Recommended Posts

I have had my Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit for 2-3 years and it has always leaked. Not a lot but enough to get whatever you're carrying in the bed a little wet. I always check the drain tubes and clean them out if they are clogged but it still leaks.

It's leaking from the cab end at the corners of the bed. If I get under the cover I can some some light shining through. I am trying to think of way to seal these holes up. I was thinking some clear silicone but wasn't sure if that is going to hurt anything.

Any other suggestions of something to use to seal up where the water is entering? I've tried additional weather-stripping but that hasn't really worked.

We are going on a trip this weekend and will have a bed full of stuff and don't want it to get wet incase we go through some rain.

you wont hurt anything with silicone, thats probably the easiest way of doing it without removing the whole cover to put down some campershell type sealant tape

I have a bunch of clear silicone that is used for bathtubs, windows, etc and wasn't sure if that would harm any part of the paint on the bed. I assume that type of clear silicone is the same as the clear silicone that you find in the parts stores.
