Vent Window Latch Came Unglued

I go out to get in my truck this morning and when I close my drivers door I see the window move from the passenger side back door and hear it clunk. I get out to check it out and sure enough where the latch is glued to the glass it has come loose. VERY FRUSTRATING! :sigh: Is this a very common problem? One thing that concerns me is that I replaced the little plastic piece in the window latch so that it would pull in slightly tighter and stop some wind noise I was getting. But it's only supposed to be .050" tighter. And it looked pretty much exactly like the old. Still wondering if this could have caused it? Wind Noise fix for 2000-2007 chevy, vent window, latch I only replaced the passenger side and thats the one that failed...

that sounds like a bad day, im glad that mine roll down. i have never rode in an ext cab truck with the pop out back windows that didn't make wind noise. and, yes. i would point my finger at the modification to be at fault. anytime something goes wrong and i have tampered with it before, i always assume it is my fault and go from there. good luck getting it fixed, though

Yeah I wish mine rolled down. I guess yours is a crew cab?

I glued it back on with super glue for now because there is no way I can get it fixed at the moment, and I put the original part back on it. I may see if it's going to hold before I go and order a new window. I think thats what the dealership would probably do in this case...
