Dome Light

Recommended Posts

Some times, when a passenger closes the door of my truck, they have to open it and slam it closed to get the dome light to go off. Awhile ago I noticed I did'nt see any button/switches anywhere in the door jamb. Where the heck are they? Are they hidden in the rubber boot with the door wires? Can they be adjusted to solve my problem? Any help would be appreciated.  :D  Rich

Another thing to think about is to make sure that you don't have the vents behind the back seats blocked.  Those vents alow the excess air to exit the vehicle when the doors are shut.  I had mine blocked with a jacket on one side and a tarp on the other and had to have everyone shut the door a couple times to get it fully closed if the windows were up.  If the windows were down it wasn't an issue.  So I figured it out rather quickly.  Now this is probably not the case but I'm just throwing it out there since this happened to me.  I realize you have an extended cab so it's probably different from those of us with a regular cab.  I guess I need a tool box for all the crap behind my seat.  :D

The door switch is the latch itself.  It works off of the ground circuit.

So that's where it is. I was curious because I hadn't been able to find it.
