i have 95 z71 w/newtranny and its got 10,000km on it and when i put it into drive and it shifts hard and the oil is clean & no burn smell to it still nice red color..when driving it..go to speed up and it seems like its stuck in 3rd gear and gutless have to shift it manualy and the speedo & rpm & (R-N-D-3-2-1) Display all go blank so i changed the battery & alt the otherday and its still doing the same think...when putting it into drive fist it shift hard (locks up hard core)

yes i checked all the connectors on the side off the tranny & on the output shaft could not find anything loose so i just cleaned them up as best i could (im 3hrs in the bush) i got the tow truck out today ..is there anything i can try

i dont carry all the tools in my truck so that is why i reach out to people and see if there is a quick fix so i can get it into get a scan done...but its in there now after 400 bucks for tow ty any way for the help

well it turned out to be the ignition switch which is running @450 bucks +labour 2hrs
