Need part number help please

My 2000 Chevy factory tailgate wing/protector needs replacing so I thought I would replace it with the new 2003 style tailgate protector.

 

Does anyone know the part number for the 2003 tailgate protector?

I'm not sure what the '03 protector looks like.  If it no longer has the wing, then you can go to a place that sells truck caps/toppers and get a standard one for about $25.

Thanks, but I really like the functionality of the thicker factory cover. I really dont want one thats held on with double sided tape. I carry alot of fenceposts on my farm and the cap comes in real handy.

I always thought the 03s looked like sh*t  but now they dont even deserve to be compared to sh*t when put next to a 02

Why dont you tell us exactly how you really feel about the 2003 frontends    

 

They actually look good when lifted and have some big tires on them.

Hey y2kz71, I have two questions for you after looking at the pictures of your truck.

 

1. Is the bug deflector a dealer accessory or aftermarket?

 

2. Was you able to find a place to pick up power for your reverse lights with cutting into the wire loom?
