what color should i paint my gmc emblem my truck is storm grey! 40 bucks for a can of color matched spary bomb or 6 bucks for matte black??

i bought a can of krylon black for plastic it said no need for sand or primer so i painted my rear tailgate emblem first coat gonna put 3 or 4 coats on it see what happens?
