2008 Gmc Sierra Headlight Relay? / No Low Beams

2008 GMC Sierra 1500 4wd

This morning I noticed both low beams / DRLs were out. They were working fine last night. High beams,fogs working fine. No low beams/drl no matter what position switch is in (auto headlight, or regular headlight) I haven't had a chance to look closely at fuses (was running late), but since the manual says there are driver & passenger side high & low beam fuses, more than likely its not a fuse problem as it would mean 2 low beam fuses blew at same time. Next guess is headlight relay. However the manual doesn't show a headlight relay (or I just didn't see it). I assume there is a headlight relay, there is one marked HDLP LO/HID which from searching the net 'seems' to be it. Just want to make sure what else I should be checking or if thats even the right thing.

Okay, turns out BOTH low beams blew at same time. That is wierd, never have I had that happen before.... is that normal these days.?
