Big three/ high output alternator/ dual battery

Hey guys,

 

I'm going to put a high output alternator in my 08 Sierra 1500. I also want to throw a dual battery setup in there using this: http://www.jegs.com/p/Painless-Performance-Products/Painless-Digital-Power-Manager/1646008/10002/-1

 

I'm running a couple subs, some hid lights, hid fog lights DVD player n such. I want to upgrade the big three, and I know how to do it... But I'm wondering if any part of the installation changes when installing the dual battery set up with the part I linked to before. Anyone know? My headlights dim when rolling up the window. So I need to get some more juice flowing through the system.

There is a really good post in this forum about installing a second battery in the stock location, and by that I mean there is a factory location already made for a second battery. Look on the driver side just in front of your main fuse box. In the post I mentioned there is a list of OEM parts (tray base, clamp, connectors, etc) that accomplish this exactly as if you had the dual battery option from the factory. An HO Alternator would be a big help too, but proab a royal pain to install. Just run a search for 'dual battery' and I'm sure you will find it.
