OGM-1 Owners

I am humbly asking OGM-1 owners to rate the sound quality, volume, and tone control/sound of their OGM-1 as opposed to the factory radio that came in their truck. Just interested in the sound difference between the two..

The OGM-1 is capable of good sound. The OEM speakers are the limiting factor, which need to be swapped out for better units to maximize the radio's potential. Advent claims 40 watts of RMS power for the OGM-1 but I doubt it comes close to that figure. A pair of high quality woofers and tweeters for the front will make a huge improvement. Adding a good 50 watt amp will definitely put you into high quality sound territory. The radio's equalizer and fader controls should be adequate for anyone but the most ardent audio enthusiast. The weakest feature is the NAV unit - it tends to hang the radio occasionally, even with the most recent update from Horizon Navigation. The OGM-1 has a pretty good bang for the buck!

Advent claims 40 watts of RMS power for the OGM-1 but I doubt it comes close to that figure.

 

The specs say 45 watts MAX, not RMS, so it's more like 15 RMS
