blairlee Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I'm working on color matching the front end of my truck. I bought a painted front bumper from a salvage yard, with the knowledge that I would have to put some work into it. The part is actually in pretty good shape, but there's a significant amount of scratching on the very front edge. What should I ask the body shop when I take them the part? Is this something that should be sanded down and repainted to match the rest of the bumper, or can they do something less drastic? My truck has less than 4000 miles on it so I'm interested in having this piece look as good as possible.
ruggedlife Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 i would go in and ask that exact question.......... they'll probably say repaint it, which is what i would do, but just ask them what they think
blairlee Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 That's what I did, and that's what they said. Ought to get it back tomorrow.
