Well, I wasn't expecting them to arrive this soon but a delivery guy just dropped off my new Nitto Terra Grapplers today. Oh boy, oh boy, can't wait to get them mounted. 285/75 seem much bigger than the stock 245/75 tires. I was expecting a difference but not quite this much. So, I am going to have Tire Kingdom put them on for me Thursday. Anyone know how the change in tire size will affect the speedo? Will it need to be recalibrated? And what difference in ride do you think I will notice when I first drive on the new tires? I can't wait...oh boy

Quibbs :(

Your new tires will give your truck a whole new look.  A jump from 245's to 285's is a good size difference..

Your speedo will be off by a fair amount, so always make sure your speedo is registering a slower speed than what you want.  I think I gained about 3-4 MPH on the interstate when I swapped out to the 265's... so I bet if your speedo says 65 you are probably going to be going 70 MPH.  I think your dealer may be able to program for 265's, but I don't think he can program a 2500 series truck for 285's.

It's possible your truck may seem a little less responsive, but I didn't really notice any difference when I switched to the 265's.

Post some pics when you get them mounted!!!  :thumb:
