Posted a question about switching to synth oils and fluids and VOILA! Gone again! Are you guys trying to tell me something???

Want to switch to synthetics in EVERYTHING (so does Friz according to his response). I Have 5000 miles now, going to change to synth engine oil at 7500.  What else should be switched and when/how many miles?  PLease respond quick before this one goes bye-bye!!!!

I believe you already have synthetic in your rearend gears, and there is a TSB out on your transfer case to change it to synthetic, run it approx. 500 miles and then change it again.  The dealer did that for me under warranty after I complained of some noise and vibration while in 4 high and under acceleration.

I'm going to leave my oil a straight mineral oil, and am going to change it whenever the light comes on or 3000 miles whichever is first.  I probably won't have over 60K on the truck when I get rid of it and I don't see the sense in the extra $$!!!  My dealer will change my oil and service my truck for ?.95 in 30 minutes or less, plus if I have any troubles I have records that the work was done at the dealer.
