I just purchased my truck a couple of months ago and aparently the previous owner set the theftloc code! So today when I went to work on the the truck and disconnected the battery the radio locked up. I read the owners manual and without the code I am pretty much up a creek with out shelling out cash to the dealership. I can't imagine why someone would be worried about the theft of their factory tape deck I wasn't aware that this was a problem? Does any one know how to reset this code? I am sure there is some sort of master code. If any one knows how to reset this code then please PM me. It is the stock radio in a 99 silverado with the seperate single CD in the center console.
