Are Stainless tips on duals worth it?

Do they look as good as chrome?

I like the chrome, but its whatever you prefer.

I guess they could be made that way. When I think of stainless I think of the nonbuffed version. Like my fridge. :popcorn:

Get polished stainless. I have a hackjob exhaust that will soon be replaced. I had it put on about a year or so ago and the chrome tips are pitted with rust all over. Mine exit on each side of the rear tires so that has obviously attributed to the rusting with all the salt/water the rear tires kick up on them, but on my 99 Tahoe I had a polished stainless tip that exited behind the rr tire and never had rust pitting problems.

Just remember whatever tips you decide to get, if your gonna run the exhaust out the sides behind the rear wheels be prepared to get your tips dinged.......... :thumb:

That's why alot of people run duals out the back so they don't have to worry about throwing a rock into the tips.

However it does make the truck look uniq with them out the sides.
