04 silverado 1500 air bag

My air bag light comes on every time I hit a bump in the road or when I have a passenger in the seat can anyone help me out with ideas on what it could be. Thanks

Need to have the codes read to help pinpoint

I had the codes read yesterday at advanced and nothing popped up

Advanced scanners more than like cannot read air bag system codes. Many times they can even read ABS codes. With your symptoms I'd check all my connections at teh sensors etc.....
