Oil cooler lines different??

About a year ago I ordered some oil cooler lines for my 99 silverado 2500 6.0. Finally decided to tackle this since I was doing my water pump. Question is why are my new lines way different? Got them installed. But I don't like how the lines sit. Was there some kind of design change? Is there a different way to route the lines? Any good info would be great.

I have a 00 Suburban k2500 and I am having the same problem. I normally do my own repairs, but I didn't have time this week. My mechanic called me today to tell me the lines I purchased at A.Z. were different then the old lines and he didn't think he could install them. He has already cut the old lines to remove them and thinks I will have to buy the lines from the dealer tomorrow. He has the a.z. lines half installed so if there was a design change I would really like to know asap. Thanks
